Dear Dr. Hari Warrior:
Please accept my humble dandavat pranamas.
Thank you for your acceptance that “It is a FACT that 20th century physics is extremely weak, since it deals only with the classical realm.” On the name of science we should not deny the complete reality. The modern science has no idea about ‘What is life?’ We can’t call that knowledge as scientific knowledge, which fails to explain the scientist who is producing that so called science.
It is mentioned in Bhagavd-Gita 7.2 that: jnanam te 'ham sa-vijnanam idam vaksyamy asesatah yaj jnatva neha bhuyo 'nyaj jnatavyam avasisyate, “I shall now declare unto you in full this knowledge both phenomenal and noumenal, by knowing which there shall remain nothing further to be known.” This verse of Bhagavad-gita gives the definition of ‘complete knowledge.’ Here, jnanam means phenomenal knowledge. Phenomena are observable experiences through our senses or mind (mana). On the other hand, vijnanam means noumenal knowledge. Noumena mean ‘thing-in-itself’ or soul. Noumena are not directly observable using the five senses and mind (mana).
Modern science is facing difficulties in introducing mind (mana) into its studies because as soon as we invoke mind (mana) all the theories of physics and chemistry fails. Mind (mana) is too complicated to equate with the knowledge based on experience from the gross senses (color, smell, taste, sound and form). The soul (say, for example scientist) is much beyond the experiences of senses and mind (mana). Hence, it is apparent that present so called scientific knowledge has no excess to noumenal knowledge. According to Bhagavad-git science (vijnanam) means noumenal knowledge. The present so called science deals only with jnanam and not vijnanam (science). If present so called science has not at all included the noumenal knowledge (vijnanam) in its studies then how anyone can call it a science.
You have told: [I am sure as we go further downscale, we come down to negative exotic matter realm which is much more abstract and then we go down to the realm of strings (as in string theory). EVERYTHING is a result of the vibration of strings. Strings really contain information about the whole universe (called spin foam). Now Roger Penrose (Oxford mathematician) has proposed that the intelligence (or subjective feeling we are talking about) is really this spin network, also called Quantum/Loop gravity .]
The definition of inertial mass (mi), active-gravitational mass (ma) and passive-gravitational mass (mp) is based on the method that is used to measure them. Inertial mass can be calculated by applying a known force to an unknown mass, by measuring the acceleration, and applying Newton's Second Law, mass (mi) = Force (F) / acceleration (a). Gravitational mass is generally measured using a certain balance scale by comparing the force of gravity of an unknown mass to the force of gravity of a known mass. Active-gravitational mass is that gravitational mass, which is the source of the gravitational field. For example moon has less gravitational flux than that of earth and hence moon has a less active gravitational mass than that of earth. On the other hand, passive gravitational mass represents the amount of force produced in response to gravity. By dividing an object’s weight by its free-fall acceleration we can calculate the passive gravitational mass for that object.
Inertial mass must be equal to passive gravitational mass according to Einstein’s equivalence principle. On the other hand, active and passive gravitational mass must be equal if we apply the law of conservation of momentum. Till date all experimental evidences in modern science have found that they are always the same. In most studies on negative masses, it is assumed that the equivalence principle and conservation of momentum are applicable. If we want to consider some hypothetical particles with negative mass, then it is important to know which of these concepts of mass are negative.
According to Newton’s law: F = mi × a. If we imagine an object with negative inertial mass mi, then we can see from the equation of Newton’s law that the object will start accelerating in a direction opposite to the direction of the external force. Certainly this is an imaginary concept.
Similarly according to Newton's law of universal gravitation: mi × a = – (G × ma × mp) / r2. G is universal gravitational constant and r is the distance between the masses. If we imagine objects with negative gravitational masses (both active and passive) and positive inertial mass, then that object will be repealed by positive active mass and attracted by negative active mass.
These concepts of negative mass are the thoughts in the mind of the scientist who has propose these concepts. But we don’t find such observations in the world which scientists aware of. Both string theory and quantum loop gravity deals with dead matter and four fundamental forces. We have argued in the section ‘Domain of TOE and Limitation of Present Scientific Approach’ in our past article entitled, “The Search Into the Origin of Universe Shows the Limitation of Human Knowledge” that these theories can never able to describe the behaviors of living bodies. The name “Theory of Everything” is deceptive. They have to come up with a concrete theory to include the behavior of living bodies into their theories to propose a ‘Theory of Everything.’
The science of the soul is much far from the reach of modern scientific knowledge. Scientists till date even couldn’t able to find a theory which can explain mind (mana). Can any scientific theory suggest how an individual can overcome fear, anxieties and frustration from the mind (mana) of an individual? Can scientists propose an equation to describe mind (mana)? Can science describe mind (mana) using any of the four fundamental forces which they have figured out in physics? We know that all the pure devotees of Lord Krishna for example Prahlada Maharaja and Pariksit Maharaja were completely free from fear. What is the scientific process to make our mind reach to that completely fearless position? Can scientist give an answer to these questions? Furthermore, above mind there is intelligence (buddhi), false ego (ahamkara) and pradhana (unmanifested stage of three modes of material nature). Is it possible for scientists to approach these topics using their limited so called scientific theories?
The soul is much above all these elements mind (mana), intelligence (buddhi), false ego (ahamkara) and pradhana (unmanifested stage of three modes of material nature). If we can’t study these topics with the limited approach then why we are not approaching to the real scientists who have gained practical knowledge from the Vedic science on these topics. The methods of gaining knowledge adopted by modern science are not helping scientists to understand life, universe and their origins. Hence there is a need to deeply analyze the limitations of present science and scientists must go for a proper alternative. They should study the methods and process that are explained in Vedic literatures, which includes both phenomenal and noumenal knowledge. If modern scientists can approach this complete knowledge given in Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam through a proper descending process of gaining knowledge then they can make their knowledge complete.
Thanking you.
Sincerely,
Sushen Krishna das
