1. Because a devotee is desireless, he is peaceful.
2. By the Mercy of Krsna and Guru, one acquires the seed of devotional service.
3. One must water the creeper of devotion by hearing and chanting.
4. For neophyte devotees, Deity worship is also highly important.
5. For the creeper to properly fructify, one must receive the proper conception from the Spiritual Master.
6. Offending the Spiritual Master will destroy the creeper of devotion.
